Lakewood, Colo., February 27, 2024 – Over the past several years, project approvals have become one of the most challenging aspects of construction projects. With our Proven Process focusing on the planning phase of the project in order to make projects run more smoothly, Alcorn Construction has hired Jeanne Shaffer as our new Director of Land Use Entitlements in order to get projects started faster for us and our customers.

Jeanne brings nearly 20 years of experience to Alcorn, having served as Planner II for the City of Centennial and Jefferson County, as well as Site Development Manager for Galloway & Co. Additionally, she worked as Director of Entitlement Services at Chadwick Land Use Entitlements Planning & Consulting Company as well as at Groundwork Entitlement Services. Most recently, she held the post of Director of Land Use Entitlements for Confluent Development. Jeanne graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design, Planning & Real Estate and master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Economic Development & Real Estate from the University of Colorado. Additionally, she earned certificates in Project Management and Water Resources from Colorado State University.

This new position will expedite Alcorn Construction’s processes throughout planning and permitting, helping customers get into their spaces faster and at a lower cost. Additionally, it will allow the company to offer a new suite of services centered around entitlement and due diligence services, even for projects outside of Alcorn’s portfolio of future construction projects.

Jeanne will primarily serve customers in Alcorn Construction’s Denver office but will work on projects for the company’s Phoenix office as needed.
